Suitability is determined during a comprehensive skin consultation. We'll assess your skin, discuss your concerns and medical history, and determine whether Cosmelan® is the most appropriate treatment for your pigmentation.
What does the program include?
Your Cosmelan® program includes a comprehensive skin consultation, a professional pre-treatment peel, your in-clinic Cosmelan® application, a complete three-month Cosmelan® Essentials home care kit, a personalised treatment plan, a complimentary LED Light Therapy review at two weeks, and ongoing guidance throughout your treatment journey.
Will my skin peel?
Yes! Most patients experience redness, dryness and varying degrees of peeling during the first few weeks. This is a normal part of the treatment process and is expected as your skin renews. We'll provide detailed aftercare instructions and support you throughout your recovery.
How long will it take to see results?
Many patients begin noticing improvements within the first few weeks, with continued improvement over the following six months as they complete their home care program. Every skin responds differently, and results will vary depending on the type and severity of pigmentation.
Will my pigmentation come back?
Pigmentation is often a chronic condition influenced by factors such as sun exposure, hormones and genetics. While Cosmelan® can significantly improve pigmentation, ongoing sun protection and maintenance home care are essential to help maintain your results.
Will I need to purchase more skincare?
Yes. Your initial program includes approximately three months of Cosmelan® home care. To maintain your results and continue supporting pigment regulation, ongoing home care products are recommended after this time and are purchased separately.
Is there any downtime?
Yes. Cosmelan® involves a recovery period, particularly during the first few weeks, when redness, dryness and peeling are expected. We'll discuss the expected downtime during your consultation so you can plan your treatment at a suitable time.
